A college girl's guide to the best bars in a seaside retreat

A Review of Cj’s American Grill in North Cape May, NJ

Tonight I decided to visit Cj’s American Grill in North Cape May, New Jersey.  Luckily for Kayla and I the bar was not crowded and we were able to find a table immediately.

Let’s just say Cj’s has an excellent beer menu!  Certainly one of the best I’ve ever seen with 9 beers on tap (some local) and 28 bottled beers.  The wine list is incredibly similar; there is something for everyone on these lists.

I ordered Cape May Brewing Company’s Sweet Stout and it was fantastic; it was the perfect blend.  I should have paired it with something other than chicken tenders to enhance the flavor (not that it needed to be enhanced).  Kayla ordered a vodka, sprite and splash of cranberry (her typical drink of choice) and said it good.  I must agree because of course I had to sample everything to be fair to you.

Kayla ordered a dessert to die for.  She got Oreo Cheesecake and well you can see from the picture how delectable it was.  She loved it, absolutely loved it.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the service was quick.  In less than one minute Kayla and I had our drinks.  In a few more minutes my dinner was on the table.  Less than a minute after ordering dessert Kayla had it in front of her.  I knew our server, Ashley Bresan, and we were able to just kick back and chat with her.  However, you do not need to know your server prior for this type of service.  I saw plenty of other people getting this type of service from other servers.

CJ’s American Grill was an excellent choice for this week.  I’ll certainly be going back more often.  They have tons of daily specials for game day, Taco Tuesday’s, Thursday Trivia  and much more!

As always I look forward to hearing from all of you.
